Hi! I am Jackie Gray and I am a Reading Specialist/Interventionist.
I have worked at Gerald Elementary since 2006. I began at GES teaching Kindergarten and then 1st grade. I was a looping teacher,
I spent K and 1st with the same group of kiddos.
In 2012 I became the Reading Recovery Teacher and worked mostly with 1st grade.
I discovered that I loved working with students and helping them to become better readers that I went on to complete my Reading Specialist certification.
So now I work with Kindergarten-5th grade.
I work with students in small groups and individually. I also work with teachers in supporting their class in Balance Literacy.
When I am not at GES, I love spending time with my grandkids and family. I am involved in our family horse farm and love to ride. My other hobbies are cooking/baking, painting and crafting, reading,
essential oils, flower gardening and enjoying being outside.
